- NDA: 16.5 to 19.5 years
- CDS: 19 to 24 years (varies by entry)
- AFCAT: 20 to 24 years (26 for PC)
- TGC: Below 28 years
Educational Qualification
- NDA: 10+2 (Science for Air Force/Navy)
- CDS: Graduate Degree
- Technical: BE/B.Tech degree
- INET: B.E/B.Tech in relevant stream
Nationality
- Indian Citizen (both boys & girls)
- Subject of Nepal
- Subject of Bhutan
- Tibetan refugee (before 1962)
Physical Standards
- Medically fit as per standards
- Minimum height: 157 cm (Males), 152 cm (Females)
- Weight proportionate to height and age
- Good vision (correctible)
Marital Status
- NDA: Unmarried only
- CDS/AFCAT: Unmarried (some exceptions)
- SSC: Both married & unmarried
- No dependents for certain entries

50 questions in 30 minutes - Tests verbal and non-verbal intelligence

Psychological Tests

GTO Tasks (Group Testing Officer)
Discussion on given topics - tests communication and leadership
Group plans solution for a military problem with map
Series of 4 obstacles with progressive difficulty
Similar to PGT but with half the group members
3-minute lecture on given topic (3 topics, choose 1)
10 obstacles to complete in specified time
Lead subordinates to complete obstacle task
Most difficult task involving entire group
Conducted by Interviewing Officer - Questions about background, interests, current affairs, and OLQs assessment

Final round where all assessors discuss and decide - Results announced same day
