How This Task is Conducted

01Candidates sit in a semicircle facing the GTO in chest-number order.
02Round 1: The group picks 1 topic out of 2 choices given by the GTO.
03Round 2: The GTO gives 1 fixed topic for everyone to discuss.
04No leader is chosen. Everyone speaks freely.
05Each topic is discussed for 15 to 20 minutes.

Recommended Tips to Succeed

  • Speak early with a clear definition and facts if you know the topic well.
  • Support your points with examples and simple logic.
  • Listen respectfully and give quieter candidates a chance to speak.
  • Look at the group members while speaking, not at the GTO.
  • Stay calm and polite even if someone disagrees with you.
